Buckingham County Public Schools uses iBoss as part of our internet privacy and protection system. iBoss is a CIPA compliant internet filter and activity monitor. It is used to build policies through the combination of categories and URL filtering. With iBoss, students and teachers can be filtered differently, based on the level of access permitted to a group. We also use advanced filtering techniques to allow for appropriate social media and streaming sites. Through this service, Safe Search can be automatically enforced to better protect students and staff.
Cisco Cloudlock is another layer of protection for our students. It is used to block and monitor file content, sharing, and user activity within Google Drive. Cloudlock monitors the content of users’ drives, app authorizations, and user drive activity (logins, logouts, etc.).
