Our Mission:

In Buckingham County, our mission is to identify and assist students who meet the federal and state criteria for a student with a disability requiring special education or related services. These students are provided the services needed to become active members of society based on the student's individual strengths and abilities. We provide a caring and dedicated staff that meets the academic, emotional, and social needs of all of our students in an appropriate environment.

Buckingham County Public Schools is committed to providing a free appropriate public education in the least restrictive environment as outlined in state and federal law.
