If you were unable to attend last night's parent-teacher conference, we're offering 15-minute appointments tomorrow from 1 to 3 PM, or at another time that works for both you and your child’s teacher. On the evening of September 19th from 7:00 to 9:00 pm, the First Lady of Virginia Suzanne S. Youngkin and award-winning social psychologist, author, and researcher Dr. Jonathan Haidt will convene a fireside chat to discuss the findings of Haidt’s book The Anxious Generation and how it informs our communities and schools in limiting social media and cell phone use to help restore childhood and play. The event will be broadcasted live to all participating schools. Further details about the event. can be found on the VDOE website

Dear BCPS families,
Due to the anticipated heavy rain and possible flooding tomorrow, the Open House schedule for grades PreK-12 has been changed. We will now host an open house for all schools from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM tomorrow. If additional time is needed for an open house, a detailed alert will sent at a later date.
Additionally, the Back to School Carnival for grades Prek-5 scheduled for Friday has been canceled.
