Celebrating Our Principals: May 1st ♥️

Principals are among the hardest-working individuals in education—and often the most underappreciated. Yet without their steady leadership, schools simply wouldn’t function. They set the academic tone, foster a positive school culture, and create environments where both students and staff can thrive.

Through their vision, dedication, and relentless determination, they make countless decisions each day that impact learning, safety, morale, and growth. Their influence stretches far beyond the office door; they are instructional leaders, problem-solvers, mentors, and the heart of their school communities.

We are especially grateful for the leadership of Mrs. Sarah Walker, Mrs. Denise Bryant, Dr. Courtney Browning, Dr. Jeff Garrett, and Mr. Damon Talley. Each of them brings a unique strength to our division, united by a shared commitment to student success and staff support. Their work does not go unnoticed, and their impact is deeply felt. Please join us in thanking them—not just this week, but every week—for all they do. GO KNIGHTS!

Whether you're taking students across one of the largest counties in Virginia, greeting them on early mornings, or safely delivering them to a field trip they'll never forget, you show up with dedication and heart. You know their names, their routines, and sometimes even their moods…and that matters. Under the leadership of Ronnie Palmore, our transportation team is nothing short of remarkable.
