We will continue to closely monitor overnight winter weather conditions. A final decision regarding any potential school closure will be made early tomorrow morning after evaluating the latest weather and road conditions.
If school remains open, after-school programs (KLIFE, BTB, and Knights Power) will operate on Wednesday, February 4, and Thursday, February 5. However, parent pickup will be required for all after-school programs on both days. Students who normally ride the bus for after-school programs must provide a parent note confirming private transportation for these dates.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we prioritize the safety of our students and staff. We are excited to see our students; we have missed them!

More information will be sent to your student's email soon.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to VDOT for the tremendous effort they have put into preparing Buckingham’s roads. Their hard work plays a vital role in helping us make safe decisions for our community.
Allowing an additional day provides for a safer return, particularly when considering bus turnarounds.
We would also like to thank our grounds, maintenance, and transportation teams for their extra efforts and dedication during this unprecedented weather event.
Attached is our school calendar highlighting the approved possible snow make-up dates. Please note that February 25 and March 13 will now be full instructional days for students. We will re-examine additional snow make-up dates if future weather closures become necessary.
Thank you for your continued understanding and for supporting Team Buckingham. Have a nice evening!
