Happy Assistant Principals Week to some of the coolest, most dedicated folks we know! 🌟
Here in Buckingham, we’ve got a dream team:
Zane Harshman – Buckingham Primary School
Often considered a real-life action hero, Zane is known for his unmatched ability to deescalate even the toughest situations, break down complex data like a human spreadsheet, and still crack a joke with his legendary dry sense of humor. And yes, he still shows up to bus duty on time like a pro.
Cristin Morris – Buckingham Elementary School
One half of the school’s dynamic duo, Cristin works hand-in-hand with teachers in PLCs to strengthen instructional practices. She's collaborative, focused, and makes real instructional magic happen. Her workshops for the staff are ones that people look forward to attending and learning.
Emily Harris – Buckingham Middle School
Attendance champion. Summer school expert. Family liaison. Emily brings a level of organization and energy that keeps our middle school world spinning. She goes above and beyond to support students, staff, and families, all while juggling the many hats of an AP.
Seth Wilkerson – Buckingham High School
Football coach turned AP extraordinaire, Seth uses his leadership skills from the field to coach kids through high school life. Whether he’s in the halls, at the games, or stepping into a student conference, he builds trust and teamwork wherever he goes.
Faith Jones – Buckingham High School
Faith brings intention, strength, and heart into every interaction. She’s got a way of turning hallway chats into mini-fireside chats, and her ability to lift teachers through feedback, faith, and genuine relationship-building is something to behold.
Together, this group represents the very best of what it means to serve. They don’t just handle discipline and logistics—they build culture, forge connections, and quietly shape the lives of students and staff every single day.

Congratulations to our 2024-2025 Teachers of the Year!
Each of these outstanding educators represents the heart, hustle, and hope that define Buckingham County Public Schools. Their commitment to students, families, and the craft of teaching is nothing short of inspiring. We are proud to celebrate them for the difference they make every day!

Melissa’s incredible dedication to her students shines through in everything she does. She has been a steady, skilled force in helping her English 11 students master the reading and writing standards. Her deep content knowledge, patience, and unwavering belief in her students is evident in their growth—and in their confidence.
Buckingham High School – Amber Britt (Business Teacher)
Amber’s “can-do” attitude and tireless energy have led to remarkable success in the areas of Computer Information Systems, Business Law, and Principles of Business/Marketing. Her CTE students consistently perform at a high level. She is also the CTE testing coordinator to help seniors graduate on time. and has a high passing rate in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. She brings relevance, real-world skills, and positivity to every lesson she teaches.
Buckingham Preschool – Renee Schaeffer (Pre-K Teacher)
Renee is our CLASS training queen and an absolute gem in early childhood education. She sets the tone for learning by creating a warm, structured, and engaging environment where our littlest Knights begin their school journey with curiosity and confidence.
Buckingham Primary – Heather Page (Kindergarten Teacher)
Heather brings kindness, creativity, and care into her classroom every day. Her ability to meet her young learners right where they are and guide them through those important first steps of school is a gift. Her classroom is a joyful, safe space where foundational skills bloom.
Buckingham Elementary – Jaelynn Edwards (3rd Grade Teacher)
Jaelynn is a bridge-builder for her students—gently preparing them for the transition to SOL testing while ensuring that every child, regardless of background, feels seen and supported. Her inclusive approach, calm presence, and high expectations create a path to success for all learners.
Buckingham Middle School – Chuck Meek (Health/PE Teacher)
Chuck brings energy, connection, and commitment to his role each day. Whether it’s in the gym or the classroom, he’s a mentor who helps students grow strong—physically, emotionally, and socially. He builds relationships that matter and sets the bar high for student engagement and character.
