A Superhero 'Thank You' is extended to substitute teacher and bus driver Jordan Springer for saving the day on Thursday, November 6, 2025. Dr. Reasoner received this message from a staff member: "A student was choking at lunch, and while a staff member tried to pat their back to recover them, Mr. Springer jumped in and performed the Heimlich Maneuver and successfully dislodged the food from the student's throat. The student was shaken up and scared after lunch and ended up going home. It was truly amazing that Mr. Springer was in the right place at the right time. He used his skill even though he thought he was a little rusty and potentially saved our student's life." We are thankful for Mr. Springer's quick response and we are so very proud of his heroic actions! This is Team Buckingham!

It was a true honor to recognize Herbert G. Wharam Jr. by presenting a resolution to his family at tonight’s Buckingham County School Board meeting. Junior's unwavering service, commitment, and lasting impact on our schools and community will continue to guide and inspire us for years to come. We are sincerely grateful for the opportunity to celebrate his life, honor his remarkable contributions, and share this meaningful moment with those who loved him most.
